We appreciate the notion of humble workwear.
Aprons protect those working for others. Jumpsuits provide utilitarian conformity amid a hard day’s work. Crisp, clean shirts represent a fresh start towards a new day.
These hardworking everyday items aren’t indicators of age, gender or nationality. They represent uniform practicality while conveying a mastery of skill.
We work with these ordinary objects to create the extraordinary.
Our garments express the wearer’s individuality, adaptability and continual transformation within the daily regime.
Garments that represent the artistic, the personal, the intriguing and the confident; a reflection of the modern-day worker.
Modifiable fits provide the embodiment of style, shape, preference, time and place.
Everyday relevance becomes significant. It is our foundation becoming your RUDIMENT.
01 Uniform as Identity, Uniform as Personality
Our garments are inspired by humble workwear. Beautiful, meaningful fabrics designed with hand-treated attention to detail, we hope that our garments enhance your individuality.
02 Environmentally Conscious
We combine new and traditional means of constructing garments, trims, and finishes. Our patterns are an evolution towards the reduction of fabric waste through the use of natural and organic deadstock.
03 Everyone Matters
Our studio has a deep appreciation for the craftspeople whose efforts go into the making of our garments. Our process begins and ends with the hand — Seamstress, Tailors, Hand Knitters, Hand Embroiders. We are an ethical business model and committed to supporting our team in a fair-waged environment.
04 Intentions Matter
Why we do, what we do, matters to us. Each creative process starts with a question or feeling around a word that inspires us. We carry this question throughout our design process until we find our interpretation within the exploration.
05 Longevity in Design
We are intrigued by a single object with different perspectives. It reflects simplicity in form, subtle detailing, and a unique interpretation of proportion. Our intention is to create garments that earn your trust time after time and last long in your wardrobe.
06 Quality, not Quantity
Our garments are not mass-produced. To eliminate excess inventory and reduce waste, our garments are available on a pre-order and made-to-order basis. Our Objet Trouvé items are 100% upcycled efforts and available as one of its kind.
All products are created, developed, and packaged in our studio. Made in NYC.
